Summer Trip

Image
Okay, I meant to make this post a good while ago, but better late than never, right? :)  If I didn't tell y'all that I went on a summer trip a few weeks ago, to R-Cinco Ranch. We have gone there every year for the past...well, all my life!! It's a fun place! Our friends own it- it's their family ranch.  I have recently been going to help with Peter's therapy! I t is really nice to see how much progress he is making. God is so good. He is becoming more and more alert. He is also being spoon-fed some applesauce and being able to swallow. But, on the down side, his oldest brother Andrew went back to collage in Indiana today. He has been here away from collage for a year now. Tomorrow is the one year mark of Peter's accident. And helping lift Peter so much has hurt Andrew's back. The doctors found a herniated disk. Please pray for him.  Well, here are some pictures from that trip--                    There we...

4th of July

Image
Yes I know this is a day late...but at least I am making it at all!  On our fourth of July, we went to the parade. Then we were pretty much just chilling until around 5:00PM. we went to our 4th of July celebration at our church! It was great! I pretty much babysat the whole night...but still had a great time. :)  One of the families brought their go-kart! It died after a while, I think. And Robbie and his friend Nathan brought their potato-canons and shot them...and since it was dark when they were shooting them, they couldn't really see where the potato was going, so, they put a glowstick on them!!! Crazy, but it looked pretty cool! :D  And nearly everyone else played volleyball.  Here are some pictures:   Yeah, not much...but hey, I was with little kids the whole evening almost! :D  P.S. Please pray for my neck. I pulled a muscle in it a week or so ago, and it is still hurting... God Bless! ~Emily

Girl's Camp

Hello fellow readers! How is everyone doing?! You must answer. ;) There is this thing at our church called Girl's Camp that we do every year. And we have done so many fun things!! There is a theme to it each year. This years theme is evangelism. And we have leads about Missionaries, and even had a few come and speak about their experiences! It has been really neat. They also tell us our testimonies. Oh! And it's only a day camp, at our lil ol' church. :) from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM. We have lately been learning how to put a gospel presentation in our testimonies. How to evangelize by telling our testimonies. Where you tell why you need Christ and how you got saved. By adding scripture as well. It is really helpful! So it has gone really well. At first it was a little difficult, but now we pretty much have it all cleared out and everything. It is amazing how many countries need evangelism, and how much they really need it. It makes me want to go out evangelizing now! :) And ...

These Summer Days

Image
Hello! I know...I haven't blogged in a long time...but, I like to wait until I have a lot of pictures to show you! Because I know you don't just want to hear about my boring life! ;)  My cousin Garrett graduated from high school last night. We were in this huge stadium! There were more than 700 students graduating, so probably about 900 or more people there total!! VERY crowded. We got to see him afterwards and got pictures. The pictures I took during are pretty bad...he kept moving!! :D But I'll show them to you anyway.  We also saw several other people we knew from our old church. And I saw Jordon from Wings of Hope there!  Speaking of Wings of Hope, they might be canceling a lot of the classes this summer because of the heat. It's not good to work the horses so much, nor the children or volunteers! We got this new girl and horse, horse is Max, girl is Libby. Libby is 8 I believe. She asks sooo many questions each time! :) She is sweet though. The other girls I...

Two Blue-eyed Kids

Image
Hey! I babysit these two cute children named Abigale and Gideon. They are so much fun! I babysit them every Thursday, unless their busy with other things. Their mother just had a baby a few weeks ago, so sometimes they have family visiting. Their eyes may not seem blue in some pictures, but they are. :)  Also, Colton has a new pet! Can you guess what it is? It's a baby Garden snake! :D He keeps it with his gecko...which may not work, because they don't seem to like each other that much. I'm not sure what Colton has named the little guy yet though. But when I held him this morning, Colton said, "He has had his first pressure!" :D As in, he has already wrapped around Colton's finger and starting squeezing some. They look innocent, don't they? Well, their not! ;D God Bless! ~Emily

Adoption

Okay, I know...another post? already? Well yeah...I have some more things to share with you! :)  And by the way, I might have some random title that has nothing to do with the post whatsoever, but I may just have no title thought up for it! I'm no good with titles...so it'll probably just be part of some lyrics from a song I have stuck in my head...I know, I'm weird. :)  Okay, we are in the process of adopting! We have wanted to do it for some time now, but just haven't known what to start with, or we just didn't have the money. We have looked and looked for a good agency to go with, and we really wanted to use a Christian one, because mommy heard that they actually pray for the patches. So we are going with an agency called Texas Baptist Home for Children. My parents have to go for a class every Saturday for 6 weeks, they only have about 4 left to go. But then they have to read a lot of books, paper work, we all have to get a shot...so it's a lot of work. Bu...
