Two Blue-eyed Kids

Image
Hey! I babysit these two cute children named Abigale and Gideon. They are so much fun! I babysit them every Thursday, unless their busy with other things. Their mother just had a baby a few weeks ago, so sometimes they have family visiting. Their eyes may not seem blue in some pictures, but they are. :)  Also, Colton has a new pet! Can you guess what it is? It's a baby Garden snake! :D He keeps it with his gecko...which may not work, because they don't seem to like each other that much. I'm not sure what Colton has named the little guy yet though. But when I held him this morning, Colton said, "He has had his first pressure!" :D As in, he has already wrapped around Colton's finger and starting squeezing some. They look innocent, don't they? Well, their not! ;D God Bless! ~Emily

Adoption

Okay, I know...another post? already? Well yeah...I have some more things to share with you! :)  And by the way, I might have some random title that has nothing to do with the post whatsoever, but I may just have no title thought up for it! I'm no good with titles...so it'll probably just be part of some lyrics from a song I have stuck in my head...I know, I'm weird. :)  Okay, we are in the process of adopting! We have wanted to do it for some time now, but just haven't known what to start with, or we just didn't have the money. We have looked and looked for a good agency to go with, and we really wanted to use a Christian one, because mommy heard that they actually pray for the patches. So we are going with an agency called Texas Baptist Home for Children. My parents have to go for a class every Saturday for 6 weeks, they only have about 4 left to go. But then they have to read a lot of books, paper work, we all have to get a shot...so it's a lot of work. Bu...

Spring Fun

Hello! As some of you probably know (especially since I meant to make this earlier), the Collins invited us and a few other families to their house one Friday night for Jim's 12th birthday party! It was great! We played volleyball, and then two games of underground church. It was a great time. So I'll show you some pictures I took there (with Hannah's camera that she so kindly let me use and sent me the pictures).  And we only have ONE MORE catechism test! Then we will be finished! I will miss going to it every Wednesday though...I have learned a lot in that class, and so I am thankful to my wonderful pastor for teaching it. :)  I am also taking a photography workshop online called "Eight Week Virtual Photography Workshop"!! It's thankfully free! I hope I learn a lot from it!  Wings of Hope is going really well! We might switch to Thursday instead of Tuesday. I am already a leader! Because they needed a leader and I know how to lead a horse, so yeah! :) We...

Wings of Hope

Yesterday around 3:00 PM, our family and another family from church went to a ace called Wings of Hope. It's where there are horses and people from 3 to 72 with disabilities. By them riding on the horses it helps built up muscles in their body. And my friend Moriah and me and going to volunteer there once a week!! It is really exciting. They have 19 horses and 90 riders. They have three or four classes a day. I am not sure what day of the week we will do it yet. But, at first you are a sidewalker or a spotter. A sidewalker is where you are beside the person on the horse and you hold on to them and talk to them. And a spotter is where you just walk on the side of them and make sure they are on straight, and if they aren't you tell them to scoot over a little, and you talk to them. It depends on what kind of disability the rider has. They may not be able to scoot over and you have to do it for them. And other times you can just tell them to and they will. The instructor makes sur...
